SMC HTCT Box - (High Tension Current Transformer)

The high tension current transformer is required where the flowing current in the circuit is very high that it cannot be directly applied to the instruments. SMC LTCT Box - (Low Tension Current Transformer)

The low tension current transformer is used mainly for the conversion of the primary current on its secondary side & thus extend the range of instruments/protective devices connected in its secondary circuit. A C.T. by its very nature of application, isolates the devices connected in its secondary circuit from the network system into which the C.T. is connected.
